A comprehensive, family-centered program helping aging parents and their adult children organize what matters most before its too late.

Because your family deserves a clear direction.

Direction for today.
Clarity for tomorrow.

Legacy North is a comprehensive service that helps families thoughtfully organize and document essential life information in one clear, known place. We ensure the work gets done now to create clarity before it’s urgently needed, so that when life shifts, no one is left searching, guessing, or overwhelmed.

Our program guides parents through a series of conversations about their life ahead and documents their thoughts, concerns and wishes. Through a series of facilitated meetings, we initiate the conversations adult children wish they had with their parents but few ever do.

  • Health care wishes and directives

  • Key personal, legal, and professional contacts

  • Personal values, preferences, and legacy intentions

Why We Do It

Most families don’t avoid talking about hard things that we will all face like aging, illness, and death because they don’t think it’s important.

They avoid it because talking about it can be emotional, uncomfortable, and difficult.

Yet when these conversations are postponed as parents transition through their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, the burden often falls onto the shoulders of adult children when moments of stress, uncertainty or grief inevitably occur.

Important information is scattered. Urgent questions arise. Difficult decisions must be made.

Legacy North exists to change that experience.

Who We Serve

Are you a parent with adult children? Are you an adult child with parents in their 60’s, 70’s or 80’s?

Are you married, widowed, divorced, have a mixed family or own a business?

If you answered yes to any of these, Legacy North is for you.

Legacy North works with:

  • Aging parents who want to prepare for the future thoughtfully

  • Adult children who want clarity before life’s big transitions happen

  • Families who value communication, dignity, and care

What we are—and are not.

Legacy North is not estate planning.
We are not financial or tax advisors.

We work alongside your existing professionals, focusing instead on organization, communication, and peace of mind.

When clarity exists, families experience:

  • Less stress during medical events or loss

  • Fewer urgent decisions made under pressure

  • Reduced family tension and confusion

  • A deep sense of peace and a deeper understanding of your loved ones

Preparation doesn’t remove grief, but it can alleviate unnecessary hardship.

  • "After our father passed away, we realized we needed to “get things in order” for our mother, but we were unsure where or how to begin—it all felt so overwhelming! This program turned out to be exactly what we needed! The questions guided us step-by-step, from gathering all of the right information to understanding her wishes for her own health care, and in the end, we had all of the important information when it mattered most. I would highly recommend taking the time to go through this process - you will thank yourself for being prepared.
